Introducing: Inanimate Objects

Perspectives is a biyearly literary magazine that is dedicated to giving life to inanimate objects. It goes a step beyond the proverb, “Don’t judge a man before you’ve walked a mile in his shoes.” Perspectives gets the imagination to step into an inanimate object’s skin and walk around in it. Delve into the world of inanimate objects. Read Perspectives. Direct any questions or feedback to the founding editor, Monique Berry, at perspectivesmagazine@gmail.com

As well as introducing you to the latest issue of Perspectives,  I take this opportunity for blatant self-promotion (I am blushing, can’t you tell). You’ll recognize me by my picture between its covers.

I’m certain you’ll have lots of questions for the editor after  reading the unique articles. Go now, enjoy; afterwards, I hope you will share with your friends.

Author: Let's CUT the Crap!

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  1. How wonderful! I love what you wrote, I really do – I haven’t looked through the rest of the publication yet, just yours, but will do later. What an interesting concept, to give life to the inanimate.

    • Thanks so much, Vanessa. When I first heard the magazine prints only articles about inanimate objects, I thought it was a joke. Once I read it, though, I realized the concept quite unique.

The founding editor is always looking for new writers…

  5. What fun! Well done also, a book talking back; thankfully mine can’t talk to me I suspect they would say far worse. Yours was quite polite, you must take far more care.

    You did that so well.

  7. Found you right away. But can’t read the article because I can’t get it big enough to see the words. I am sure it is brilliant.

    • Thanks for finding me. I didn’t advertise the page number as I didn’t want to the the sole writer featured. If you click on the magazine it will get big enough to read full screen.

I still can’t SEND e-mail from my Inbox (it’s been a month now). I’m getting nowhere with MSN and Hot mail to unblock my account. Hope you receive this.

    • Thank you, Robin. I appreciate YOUR input. Do I sound like your books? Hmm. I haven’t met them yet. LOL

BTW, might you let me know you’ve received this? My mail is still messed up and I can’t SEND. I am responding in WP COMMENTS. I’ve setup a new gmail for my blog and am thinking of changing my addy but I’m afraid of losing followers and messing anything up in general.

  11. Mine just beg to be held again. Occasionally, I pass them along, but mostly, I shelve them until I want the feel of them in my hands again. Great story and congrats!

  14. What an interesting way to present a magazine, and I like the idea of stories from the point of view of an object. Maybe objects DO have points of view. But I couldn’t find you, Tess!

    • Yes, at first I poo-pooed the idea but once I got my head around it, I burst into flames.
I’m on page six but I didn’t want to specify what page I was on because I was afraid that might be too forward. Thanks for commenting. Maybe you’ll get to see the article.

I’m on page 6 if you still wish to have a peak. Thank you, Rose.

  16. Well, I had to take a look at this – what a fascinating concept, so creative! Thanks for the link. I enjoyed your Friends article, knew immediately what you were representing. (well, of course). I’ve developed a relationship with a multi-personality friend lately, her name is Kindle, and she’s always with me. Of course, I do still have many friends gathered together on shelves, and I enjoy the touch and feel and smell of them from time to time. But at least with Kindle there is no separation anxiety. 😉

    • Thanks, Judee. When I first heard of what this magazine was about, I scratched my head. What? After reading the magazine and got my head around it, I was off in a running start. Because I have a close relationship with books, they speak to me. Ha ha.
