“Grandma?”
“Yes, sweetie? Did you bring the hairbrush?”
“Do you gots some more Peanut Butter Ripple Brownies?”
“Uh-huh—such pretty hair—why do you ask?”
“Um, can I have some in my lunch?”
“No, Lily, peanuts are not allowed at school, remember?”
“Oh…”
“How about after school—come, let’s get your coat.”

Fabulous! You are only the second author to use quotes only. This is wonderful, Tess. <3
What can I say? I’m trying to be impressive? Thanks, Red. You’re a real trooper: here, there and everywhere.
I love this Tess, the child has such a good voice, I’d like to hear more from her!
Hiya gilly. Yeah, I like her too. What a cutie out of thin air.
Such a cute story
Is it true though? Are peanuts not allowed at school?
Hi Ghia. You would be surprised how North American schools prohibit anything with nuts in the school. So many kids are allergic to them now; it’s ridiculous.
Sweet, how do children do that by the way?
Nice to see you Valentine. I don’t know but they seem to know how to tug at your heart, even imaginary ones.
A tender scene, Tess.
Thank you. This one surprised me.
Tess! You do make the biggest smiles!
Gorgeous!
Diddo, kiddo. YOU make ME smile, Gigi but thanks for dropping by.
Nice and sweet and a lot covered in so few words. Peanuts are banned from a lot of schools here in the UK too!
Yeah, what’s up with all this allergic kids. It never used to be like this. Nice to see you, Vanessa.
hi Tess…it’s so nice to see another writer doing the same style
I like the conversation. Didn’t know school don’t allow peanut tho
Birds of a feather then? Thank you.
