I am grateful to the Poets and for my Freedom of speech.

We have a month set aside to honor our poets;

We have Every Second in which to read and write our own lives.

I will pray tonight for the Women of Afghanistan.

Peace,  Jen

Author: Let's CUT the Crap!

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  1. Thank you for the reblog…it was worth far more than the time it took to read…

    Be encouraged!

  2. I wonder if there’s anything anybody can do.
Religion should be a way of life, but how good can it be if certain people are being treated as less because of their genatalia?
    Thanks for sharing this Tess…

    • Why is it that women are kept on the low end of the totem pole? Women produce children for heaven sakes. They ought to be put on a pedestal. Thanks for commenting, Ghia. This is a hard one to swallow. Tess

  3. I can’t stop crying.

  4. How sad. We are so spoiled in my country (and most). Men misunderstand God’s plan when they relegate women to the status of cattle or worse. Thanks for sharing… 😦

  5. Worth every second spent reading every word. Still we continue the cycles of abuse in nearly every nation of the world, amazing that women haven’t risen up and simply beaten the hell out of the men that oppress them. You have to wonder why in this day and age, of technology and weaponry it continues. We no longer have to rely upon brute strength, so why do we allow this to continue?

    • Why are they so afraid of women? They want to keep them ignorant and under their thumbs (fists). Where’s the gain? Does this make men feel like men? No need to respond. This can only get sadder. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Valentine. This is so upsetting. Tess

  6. I can’t bear these abuses of women that go on around the world, so often by their own families too, it’s unimaginable.

  7. Wow. Powerful. It was hard to hit “like” on this post because the subject matter is so sad and disturbing. Hard to believe this gone on in the same world we live in.

    • I know what you mean. This treatment of woman is so uncivilized. Where’s the humanity? Either this world is getting worse or it’s just more out there. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Tess

  8. Wow. Brings tears to the edges of my eyes. Thanks for sharing this Tess.
