It’s a wonder how these brown-faced enigma face ever skyward: erect, supple and robust. Their feathery gold bonnets ripple in a lazy breeze. I’m curious do they know obvious secrets of the Sun?

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

‘Their feathery gold bonnets ripple in a lazy breeze.’ – is my favourite line. Lovely throughout!

It’s kind of endearing to see sunflowers always turn their faces to the sun, like they are worshipping it or listening for something. Thanks for dropping in, Paulette.

I suppose it all depends how you look at it. Thank you for commenting 419. I was hoping for sun flowers?

I’m seeing sunflowers in this. Maybe it’s because I saw some beautiful ones at my younger son’s school a couple days ago that made me want to plant some of my own 🙂
