Flash in the Pan – Forward

Crash! Thump. In the upstairs apartment, bare feet thud across the hardwood floor. Sherri closes her eyes, suppresses aroused quickening. “Newlyweds.” She smirks, a well-drawn eyebrow points ceiling-wise.

“Norah Jones?” Richard flashes a DVD.

Sherri nods as she sweeps the room. “I’ll get the lights and prepare the candles.”

The doorbell chimes. “Business first…private games—later dear?” Richard springs forward and their eyes meet.

“Time to party. Let us in!”

“Bosses.” Richard wobbles caterpillar eyebrows.

Author: Let's CUT the Crap!

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

    • I was hoping for a different kind of tension: young couple upstairs going at it, the wife downstairs getting into it and the husband promising some after company leaves.

Ouch. I must get back to the drawing board.

  3. I got the image of an apartment and a loud neighbor upstairs. Who’s at the door?

    • Yes, another apartment upstairs and the young couple are carrying on…wink, wink.

I need to get back to the drawing board because I thought downstairs was getting turned on and here they were expecting company…wink, wink.
