“Georgie, you’re home late.”
“Wa’ ‘pened m’ b’k?”
“What d’say?” Jake rolled out of bed by-passing slippers, and strode to the study across the hall. “What’s the racket?”
“Ha!” White teeth flashed.
“Okay, my compulsive fusspot. Come to bed.”
“Ohh…”
“You gonna faint? Gotcha.”
A ticket flapped. “—won…lottery.”

Been fantasying with the hubby this week about the 500 million lottery. Alas it came and went and we’re none the richer, lol. This reminded me of that. It’s nice to fantasize, enjoyed this. 🙂

Thank you, Paulette. It so happens we’ve had a handful of winners in the past couple weeks so the lottery was on my mind.
I don’t buy tickets and it’s nice to dream but it would be a huge distraction and responsibility to win 500 mil.

We were talking the other day about winning the lottery. How cool would that be. Of course we never buy a ticket so our chances aren’t good.

I spent the 500 million lottery in about an hour. Unfortunately, the lottery went to someone else. I hope they have as much fun with it as I, in my hour.

With 500 mil, I wouldn’t know where to start. I don’t NEED anything at my age. I have enough books and my laptop. I’m good for the next forty or so years. 😉

Yes, but my list consisted of shelters for animals and abused women, special programs for veterans, foodbanks, anything else that pops up that provides a need and isn’t well funded. I did put a couple of selfish things on my list: pay off our mortgage, bills, give my mom enough money so she never has to fret about a “donut hole” and an Xbox. that took care of just about all of it.

Still, doing good takes a certain responsibility. How and whom does one choose. Anyway, it’s nice to hear of a generous soul as yours. Lots wouldn’t contemplate sharing but with that much one absolutely must do good.

Take it easy and breathe! I am happy to have my book finally published in ebook and paper, now I shall breathe and continue on with my 2nd book! Merry Christmas 🙂

I read your newsletter. Chipping ice off the BBQ without success. I feel for you. That hot coffee is a must. Glad you’re back up power-wise. Glad you can breathe on both counts: hydro and publishing. Lucky Lady.
I’m worn out after partying and cooking and keeping on top of blogging world. 🙂

I haven’t traveled for about 17 years. It’s all or nothing in my camp. Am worried about circulation on a 13-1/2-hour flight but have purchased proper attire so I should be good.

Oh thanks so much Tess, I am so looking forward to your review! No, amazon is a crazy beast, it’s a whole other course learning or trying to learn the ways of amazon. We have our author account where we can check on sales which are not displayed sometimes for days and they don’t notify you of reviews but as authors do, I check daily, lol, as reviews are the best thing we can have to push us up to visibility. (hoping that they aren’t bad ones because those bring down the average :() Personally, if I don’t like a book, I don’t review it from an author’s perspective I know what it can do.
