I have the unique pleasure of visiting the fabulous author of the Violin Man’s Legacy. This is what transpired.
…speaking with all my communication cards on the table, yes, I’ll ‘fess up… this ol’ Jurassic can hardly go to the washroom without at least the Monster Martinet Mobile Phone, or the Big Bad Bully Blackberry… of course, I can control that at any time, right, Mabel…right?… right?… well, here’ s my pal, Author Teresa (Tess) Karlinski and, truth be known, I think she speaks on behalf of gazillions of us …enjoy…
The Dream Team

The Internet and all our electronic devices rule our lives. Don’t they? Computers, laptops, phones, tablets, iPods, iPads, tablets etc. [deep breath] are no longer luxuries or mere toys. We are addicted and no longer know how to live without them. Think about it.
Computers and Laptops
I started with a desktop computer, added a printer soon after, and then a scanner. They’re handy now and again. When my…

This is so great, Tess, like you’re an addict looking for a fix. It’s amazing how quickly we all became so dependent, then again, it makes us feel connected and humans love to feel connected.
Enjoyed it on Seamus’ blog yesterday and enjoyed it again here today. 🙂

Yes!!!!! More or less all of us are adicted to computers and other gadgets… I try not to tbe “very adicted” I don’t have tablets, iPods and things like these, however, just reading all my bloggers, comenting and reading again, I spent a lot of time! but luckily I have plenty of free time.

A very timely post as my photo library is currently being held hostage and not responding to my pleas to talk to me. I suspect my new laptop is the instigator and organized all my devices against me. It’s mutiny I say, and things are about to get ugly.

Getting a new computer strikes terror in the hearts of the bravest. The transition has not gone smoothly and I’ve resisted the urge more than a few times to simply throw it at the wall

I’m not looking forward to it. I know it’s coming but want to hold off as long as possible. Fours years. This laptop is only four years old and been a lemon from the start. Ugh. Is your picture problem sorted?

My old computer is pushing 6 years old and is REALLY slow. I thought it was a good idea to replace it before it dies on me but it was a good little soldier.
My new computer and I haven’t been off to a good start and my photo library issues haven’t been resolved yet. I’m in denial and giving myself a *cooling off* period 🙂

I enjoyed reading, Teresa! Like everyone else, I’m an addict too, albeit an old-fashioned one; I still use the terms doo-hickey and whatchamacallit when I’m lost for a technical term.

Awesome post. I kept thinking ‘yes….true…..absolutely….!!’
I could survive without my technodevices – I did, for many years before they were invented, and so did you! But we are SO LUCKY to live in an era when we have experienced both existences and have enjoyed the benefits of both. Do I spend too much time using them? Not at all. And when there are problems with them – they are minor really when one considers the miraculous things or devices can do. Techno gurus – thank you! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy……:-)
