R.I.P. Huntie.
This is for those of you who have not seen her online for quite a line.
Peggie Duggan passed away suddenly May 15. Many of you knew her as the brilliant and compassionate blogger at Chasing Rabbitholes.
Always fearless, always loving, always with a kind word. My heart is broken and I can only sit and weep at the light which has left our world. She leaves behind her rescued greyhound, Ella, her cat Elby, and friends who deeply love her and will miss her sweetness. The death of her brother Sean last year was so hard for her and I can only say that now the two are together and her heart is satisfied at being with those who have gone before.
Sleep well my friend. Rest. It was a hard battle for you. I love you.

I’m deeply sad to lose this beautiful woman. I connected with her when I became friends with Bill Hamilton. They were very close as well. I shall miss her a lot, a wonderfully compassionate soul. RIP dear friend.

Thanks so much. She was a virtual (blogging) friend I’d met a couple years ago. We talked on the phone as well and she had the biggest heart I’ve ever known. Generous to a fault, kind, intelligent and witty. I can’t believe how my heart broke when I read the news this morning.
This is a re-blog from another friend who heard the news and sent word to me:

Thank you for spreading the news. We encountered briefly and taught me how to cook Turkey because I am such a “turkey”. Another loss in our blogging world.

I don’t know there is any family left. I think her brother was all she had left until he passed away late last summer.

I remember how horribly sad that was, her brother’s death. Even though I see it often at work, it still is a shock to realize some folks families are so ‘small’ in size. (My perspective is a huge family).

Yes. I’m sitting on a cushion she ordered for me at Amazon.com because they didn’t have it at Amazon.ca. She wasn’t feeling well, but got herself to the post office to mail to me after Amazon delivered to her. Yes, I paid her but she recommended the cushion and offered to do the legwork. Such a huge and generous heart.<3 ❤ ❤
