I wrote my About Page four years ago today. It appears I’m off the radar at WordPress, however, because no notification of my blogoversary has arrived yet. Woe is me. NO matter.

It’s been an exciting time and I count myself most fortunate to have met so many fascinating bloggers. Some of you have stuck with me from the beginning to present day. Yes, it took time to meet one at a time, but I’m exhilarated to be a part of this kind and nurturing community.

At last I’m writing thanks to the discovery of Word Press and blogging. I hope with time I learn and improve this amazing and fulfilling craft. You have been most generous in your support and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This anniversary seems the perfect opportunity to celebrate you, and to go on hiatus. I haven’t been firing on all pistons of late and need to rejuvenate. Instead of whining, it’s time I do something about it. I plan to clean up and complete impatient writing projects for which I’ve had neither time nor energy, and to add new ones.

See you in September, kids. Wish me luck. It feels strange to cut myself off for the summer, but I’m doing it because I must. I miss you already.

Author: Let's CUT the Crap!

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  13. I know you showed up at my blog last year coming from Colleen’s blog. I dearly enjoy seeing your comments. I am not sure why I didn’t just start following you! I hope you will accept my comment:”Better late than never” snd an apology, too. I am sorry it took my reblogging my summer, 2014 “serenade” poem to reach out and say, “Hello!”

☆Wishing you a sincere Congratulations for your #4 Anniversary, Tess!☆
Hope this will help my cause 🙂
If it feels better I never hear from Freshly Pressed nor receive any WordPress anniversary notices. Who do we have to contact to make it onto their radar??

  15. I noticed that I hadn’t received any of your beautiful comments on my blogs lately and had to pop over to check all is well. So glad it is. Enjoy your break Tess. I should take a break too as there are lots of things which don’t get done because I spend so much time in the blogosphere. Maybe I’ll wait until the winter months though 🙂
Take care, have a lovely rest and see you in September. I’ll miss you xx

    • Hey Jude!

So nice of you to drop a line. Yes, I’ve been doing a lot of running around and less writing than I had planned but I’m making a little progress.

It’s been a relief not to go to my laptop first thing in the morning and stay put until bedtime. Have managed to get great reading done. Ahhhh.

I’m working on new habits so when I come back after the summer, my day will be more balanced and I spend half my time doing what I’m supposed to and the other half enjoying my lovely blogging community.

Have a wonderful season yourself, Jude. I’ve been missing your wonderful pictures.

      😘 Tess

  17. Tess – It’s no wonder I couldn’t find you in my reader – you were ‘on vacation.’ I do hope your time away from the rest of us fills your heart with laughter and hope for the future. I know any writing project you undertake will be marvelous and straight from your powerful mastermind of storytelling at it’s best. In the meantime, enjoy your time and may peace and good health be with you and your fur babies. With love and prayers, Sheri

    • Nice to hear from you, Sheri. Bless you. I was burning out. Still feeling it but the rest is working. I’m catching up on life and things I’ve been avoiding. Haven’t accomplished as much as I’d hoped but this is a new month and I still have hope and time to make some progress. The trouble is there’s so much I want to do, it’s hard to decide where to start or on what to concentrate first.

You’re right. I have outlined a project I’m excited about and nose to grindstone, I’ll persevere. Hope you and Tom are both well and flourishing. Thank you for the kind words. Your thoughtfulness always amazes me, for which I am more than grateful. ❤ ❤ ❤

Just came back last week from spending time with my four sisters at a rented cottage and a family reunion picnic a few days before that.

      • That sounds like a lovely treat Tess. I wasn’t expecting a reply so thank you for taking the time and don’t rush to blogging until you’re ready. Summer feels like its nearly over here, chilly mornings and evenings. I’m going somewhere warm in a month though to keep autumn at bay a while longer. See you soon lovely lady G x:-)x
