I wish every one of you a healthy and prosperous 2016, and may all your own wishes for the next twelve months come true.
How have the first eight days of this New Year slipped by already? Was I not paying attention? I suppose my problem is I’m still on Vancouver time (three hours behind Ontario). I’ve been home two days and haven’t quite clicked back to my time.
December 29th, our second day in Vancouver proved more than memorable. Mary and I finally fell into bed around 11:30 p.m. We shot up, almost standing, from tantalizing slumber at 11:39 when a crack like an exploding bookcase dumping books on the floor in fury. It wasn’t till the next morning we heard there’d been an earthquake. She and I experienced only the terrifying c-r-a-c-k at our end of the house. Our hosts at the other end felt the ground shake. New Year’s Eve was also eventful. This is the birthday girl. Whew. Glad we ran out of candles and cake or else we’d have had to book the fire department for standby. She’s well preserved, yes?

Happy new year, Tess. We had an earthquake here in 2014. I heard it and saw my lamp shades and light fixtures tremble for a few seconds. You certainly have been a traveling woman any plans to stay home?

It’s great to have you where I feel I can reach you without a long delay in your answer. Why I think of you as my compass of common sense is a mystery to me because we actually have never met. Yet, that’s my mental picture of you and having you back where I can feel that I’m interrupting something important to you is solacing in some way.
I hope you write a post before long about the writing you had mentioned early last fall.

My apologies for the crazy half of last year. I had to sort myself out to begin this new anew with projects actually in progress. This has created a change in schedule if I am to go forward as I visualize positive outcome–I can only hope, and work towards that goal. Your support since we 'met' has been valuable to a degree beyond measure. We must get back on track again. Yes?
Will I discuss my process this late fall? Maybe by email. 😀

Yay! You’re back! Earthquakes will do that to you – put you back on track in all the best ways. Yes, when I lived in SF bay area we’d have some ‘shakers’ every once in awhile that made us ‘STOP’ and think, “Hmmm, what should I really be doing right now, just in case, life stops for good?” Nice way to put things in perspective, huh?

So yep it’s 2016 and I still write 2015. I can’t blame age as I’ve done that for every year as long as I can remember, though that’s not going back that far in truth. Hope the weather is kind. Been miserably wet here for a few weeks but promised frost and maybe snow this week. Let’s see, huh!?
