Author: Let's CUT the Crap!

I'm getting a little LONG in the tooth and have things to say about---ouch---AGEing. I believe it's certainly a state of mind but sometimes it's nice to hear that you're NORMAL. I enjoy reading by the truckload. I'm a grandma but I don't feel OLD although I'm not so young anymore. My plan is to stick it out as long as I can on this lovely planet and only will leave it kicking and screaming!

  1. Important information. Thanks for sharing it. I have Word copies of all my posts, but this looks like a better way to back things up.

  4. I’d never thought of backing things up like this. I just generally write my posts in Word and then copy them over. Still, I’ll give it a go. Always good to learn something new.

  6. Thanks… but I think as I have so many folders about de things I have or I do,, that I must have other folders to keep in them the folders which are relative related…hahaha

  7. I live in fear of this happening, or a hacker exploding my site. I have an excellent host who provides free back-ups and recovery (well, free because I pay him every month). My WP.COM sites–yikes.

  9. Does this work for wordpress.com bloggers using templates? I thought this was only appropriate for wordpress.org bloggers.

  11. I am really going to have to study this Tess. We back up our computer but I had not thought about backing up the posts specifically. Thank you for this.

  12. I have my files backed up online at Just Cloud. Anymore, the files I want to keep track of (including my posts) are either going straight to One Drive or Google Drive.

    • 😀 😀 Really? I took that the day of my granddaughter’s 11th birthday in January because I’d promised myself I’d get a new photo in the New Year.
Another blogger contacted WP to check this info out. They do an automatic backup. This is for your own copy in the cloud or wherever you want. I haven’t done it yet because I’m not sure if all the photos on my blog won’t make these files and folders gargantuan. 🙂
